Kerala, Western Ghats, Chennai, Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan, Himalayan Foothills & West Bengal
During February and March 2017 we travelled from south to north India visiting a range of habitats. Although it wasn’t the easiest time of year to find reptiles, especially snakes due to the lack of rain we did manage to turn up a few species. Our success was greatly increased due to the help we received from friends who are involved with venomous snake bite research and rescues in West Bengal. Not only did they take us to some beautiful locations right along the northern border of India they also let us get involved with their day to day lives and introduced us to some amazing people who work with venomous snakes daily, some of whom were bite victims, now involved with the conservation of these wonderful reptiles.
