Welcome to Captive & Field Herpetology!

At Captive & Field Herpetology we have two aims. To better understand the natural world, especially that of herpetology and to tackle the huge issue of snakebite in India. To explore the natural world of herpetology we have a completely open-access, peer-reviewed journal which focusses on observation-based manuscripts. We pride ourselves on leading expeditions to various locations around the world each year. From shorter European expeditions to teach students the basics of field work to longer, Indian, primarily Himalayan expedition to research and spread awareness about snakebite. Why not take a look at our journal or our previous expeditions.

Volume 4 Issue 1 was released on 06/04/2020 We want to thank all of the authors for submitting a range of interesting manuscripts! All current submissions will now be considered for issue 2 due for release later this year. Please get in touch here if you have any questions about submissions or take a look at out submission guidelines.
